Encompass Acquires CE Division of Herman Electronics

Under the agreement with Encompass Supply Chain Solutions, Inc., Herman will assist in directing existing and prospective customers to ESCS division Encompass Parts Distribution for CE parts and accessories. Herman and Encompass are both long-standing CE parts distributors with decades of experience in the industry.

Herman is exiting the CE market to focus on its Broadcast and Professional Audio Visual materials distribution business. The two companies will work together to notify customers and manufacturers of the transition. Jeffrey Wolf, executive vice-president of Herman, said he is confident that Herman customers will benefit from Encompass’ expertise, expanded product offerings and comprehensive capabilities.

New Encompass Mobile Apps

To help customers get fast access to repair parts when they’re in the field, Encompass has launched a mobile app for iPhone/iPad and Android devices. With the app, users can quickly search for parts, research models, check price and availability and place orders. You can also view open orders and invoices, get the latest news and more.

July 4 Observance

Please note that Encompass will be closed on Wednesday, July
4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Customers can continue to
check pricing and availability and place orders on the web. We will be open
regular business hours on July 5.

Extended Customer Service Hours and New Chat Service

To
better serve customers on both coasts, Encompass has opened a call center at
our Las Vegas distribution center. East coast customers will be able to contact
our call center representatives until 8 p.m. Eastern Time. West coast customers
will have access to the call center until 5 p.m. Pacific Time. This applies to
our main customer care lines: 800.638.3328 and
800.432.8542.

We
have also implemented an online chat service at encompassparts.com
to provide customers another channel to quickly ask questions
and get assistance.

Haier Seeks Repair Centers to Join its Service Network

With the busy home appliance and air conditioning season starting soon, Haier is seeking new partners to become part of its Authorized Service Center network. Servicers should have:–Brick and mortar facility

Robert Coolidge Named CEO

Encompass announced today that company President Robert Coolidge will assume the added role of Chief Executive Officer.

Coolidge was appointed President of Encompass in December, taking on the responsibility of managing the day-to-day operations of the entire company, including the Encompass Parts Distribution and Encompass Service Solutions divisions. With the addition of the CEO title, he replaces Robert (Bob) Gowens, who has moved to become an advisor to the Encompass Board of Directors.

In addition to operational and fiduciary responsibility for Encompass Supply Chain Solutions, Coolidge will remain President of the Encompass Parts Distribution division for which he has managed national sales, vendor relations and IT management and development.

Encompass Selected to Provide Parts Distribution and Reverse Logistics Services for BriteLite

Under the agreement, Encompass Parts Distribution will serve as a master parts and components supplier for BriteLite, a premier provider of professional audio equipment, including DJ kits, mixers, speakers, lighting and amplifiers. ESCS will additionally provide repair, advance product replacement and call center services for BriteLite’s DJ Packs through its Encompass Service Solutions division. The company will manage parts and service for BriteLite from its headquarters facility in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Currently, BriteLite primarily offers its products through national rent-to-own chains, which support select BriteLite products through their own service centers.

“As BriteLite continues to expand in the market, it is critical for us to have a reliable parts supply chain and high-quality solution for after sales service to our dealers and end users,” said Arash Shamoeil, president of BriteLite. “We are confident that Encompass is well-equipped to help us achieve our goals.”
