President & CEO

Robert Coolidge serves as President & CEO of Encompass Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. as well as President of the residential parts division of Parts Town, the global market leader in foodservice equipment parts distribution. In addition to Encompass, the division comprises Dayton Appliance Parts, which was acquired by Parts Town in 2021.

Robert was named President & CEO of Encompass in 2012.  Since that time he has been highly instrumental in guiding the company to become one of the nation’s largest, most diversified providers of distribution, 3PL and 4PL solutions.

Robert previously served as president of Vance Baldwin Electronics, which was acquired by Encompass in 2007. During his tenure at Vance Baldwin, Robert helped grow the company – founded by his grandfather in 1953 – from a local electronics parts supplier to a national distributor supplying original parts for a wide range of product verticals, comprising consumer electronics, appliance, computer, printer and many more.

Throughout his career, Robert has been responsible for national sales, vendor relations and IT management and development, as well as system integration management. He has led business development efforts with national retailers, as well as forged strong relationships with a number of global manufacturers. Robert additionally steered the company through three successful acquisitions, including extensive rebranding.

Robert started out as the IT Manager & Systems Administrator for Vance Baldwin, responsible for the installation, development and enhancement of the company's inventory control system and EDI integration to national clients and vendors. Additionally, he developed ERP and warehouse management systems still largely in place today.

At Encompass, Robert created the company’s innovative 4PL supply chain offering to manage aftersales parts support for numerous clients. He further implemented a successful financial model to help third-party administrators control parts costs.

He graduated from Western Carolina University in 1990 with a B.S. in Business Administration with an extensive concentration in marketing and computer science.
