July 4 Observance

Please note that Encompass will be closed on Wednesday, July
4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Customers can continue to
check pricing and availability and place orders on the web. We will be open
regular business hours on July 5.

Extended Customer Service Hours and New Chat Service

To
better serve customers on both coasts, Encompass has opened a call center at
our Las Vegas distribution center. East coast customers will be able to contact
our call center representatives until 8 p.m. Eastern Time. West coast customers
will have access to the call center until 5 p.m. Pacific Time. This applies to
our main customer care lines: 800.638.3328 and
800.432.8542.

We
have also implemented an online chat service at encompassparts.com
to provide customers another channel to quickly ask questions
and get assistance.

Haier Seeks Repair Centers to Join its Service Network

With the busy home appliance and air conditioning season starting soon, Haier is seeking new partners to become part of its Authorized Service Center network. Servicers should have:–Brick and mortar facility
–Carry-in service
–Bench and in-home service techs

Robert Coolidge Named CEO

Encompass announced today that company President Robert Coolidge will assume the added role of Chief Executive Officer.

Coolidge was appointed President of Encompass in December, taking on the responsibility of managing the day-to-day operations of the entire company, including the Encompass Parts Distribution and Encompass Service Solutions divisions. With the addition of the CEO title, he replaces Robert (Bob) Gowens, who has moved to become an advisor to the Encompass Board of Directors.

“The Board thanks Bob for his leadership of Encompass over the past 18 months and is grateful to have him continuing in a stewardship role,” said Encompass Board Chairman Steve Glick. “We are equally grateful to have a President and CEO of Robert’s caliber. Encompass into the future.”

Gowens added his congratulations to Coolidge on his appointment as CEO, stating “Robert is very deserving of this role. I’m confident he will serve the Company, the shareholders, and the
employees well. I wish him and Encompass all the best.”

In addition to operational and fiduciary responsibility for Encompass Supply Chain Solutions, Coolidge will remain President of the Encompass Parts Distribution division for which he has managed national sales, vendor relations and IT management and development.

Encompass Selected to Provide Parts Distribution and Reverse Logistics Services for BriteLite

Under the agreement, Encompass Parts Distribution will serve as a master parts and components supplier for BriteLite, a premier provider of professional audio equipment, including DJ kits, mixers, speakers, lighting and amplifiers. ESCS will additionally provide repair, advance product replacement and call center services for BriteLite’s DJ Packs through its Encompass Service Solutions division. The company will manage parts and service for BriteLite from its headquarters facility in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Currently, BriteLite primarily offers its products through national rent-to-own chains, which support select BriteLite products through their own service centers.

“As BriteLite continues to expand in the market, it is critical for us to have a reliable parts supply chain and high-quality solution for after sales service to our dealers and end users,” said Arash Shamoeil, president of BriteLite. “We are confident that Encompass is well-equipped to help us achieve our goals.”

Encompass Service Solutions will leverage its leading-edge warehouse and distribution facility, depot repair services and call center operations to manage reverse logistics for BriteLite.

Encompass Teams with Universal Administrators for Repair & Reverse Logistics Services

Under the agreement with Universal Administrators, a nationally-recognized innovator in the extended services industry, ESS will perform depot repair for LCD/LED television combo units – 37 inches and below – and laptops. ESS will also provide returns management and asset recovery services for a range of electronics products warranted by Universal Administrators, including MP3 players, digital cameras, fax machines and more.

Universal Administrators will additionally participate in Encompass’ PARTner Profits
referral program. PARTner Profits enables Universal Administrators to direct their consumer customers to Encompass Parts Distribution for replacement parts and accessories and share in the revenue.

Encompass Launches Green Choice Parts® Website

Encompass Parts Distribution has launched the website GreenChoiceParts.com to market cost-effective, eco-conscious alternatives to OEM replacement parts.

Green Choice Parts are harvested from scrapped consumer electronics products that have become beyond economical repair or have cosmetic damage – primarily flat screen televisions – for use in out-of-warranty or extended warranty repairs. Parts are sourced from major retailers and rent-to-own companies that need an environmentally-responsible way to dispose of unusable products. Available components include printed circuit boards, speaker assemblies, power supply and more from top brands such as LG, Sony, Philips, Samsung, Toshiba and Panasonic, as well as a large selection of name brand appliance and computer products. Other product categories will be added in the future.

Green Choice Parts cost as much as 25% less than new parts, while providing the same functionality and reliability. Encompass provides a 180-day warranty on Green Choice Parts to help reinforce confidence in the quality of the parts.

“In addition to providing professional servicers with a less costly option to new parts, Green Choice Parts extend the life of consumer electronics by providing a channel for often hard-to-find components and making products repairable that otherwise may not be cost effective,” said Robert Coolidge, President of ESCS and Encompass Parts Distribution, which manages Green Choice Parts. “Manufacturers also benefit from reduced buy outs, better parts availability for their products in the market and improved warranty costs when seeking hard to find parts.”

Coolidge estimates that through Green Choice Parts, Encompass will annually divert about 7,500 pounds of electronics components from landfills.

“By recovering these parts from unsaleable goods, we are able to augment the parts supply chain, while also preventing a significant amount of e-waste from being discarded as trash.”
GreenChoiceParts.com offers servicers convenient access to thousands of reclaimed parts for flat panel TVs, with plans to expand its offering of appliance, computing and imaging products. Component details and photos are available, as well as online ordering and account management.

Current Encompass Parts Distribution account holders can use their existing log in and password to obtain wholesale pricing and manage their accounts. New customers can download credit and credit card applications to open an Encompass account.
